Elliptical trainers are a group of stationary exercise machines that simulate climbing, cycling, running, or walking. The activities of climbing, cycling, running, or walking all cause downward pressure on the body’s joints. However, elliptical training machines simulate these actions with only a fraction of the associated joint pressures.
